Old hairdressers

There seems to be an odd thing in the hairdressing world where most of the women are young, but you only see older men. Do women hair dressers become male when they hit middle age, or do they go do something else?

Metaphive*

I decided a while ago that I should have spicy sausage caserole. Today was the day I picked to sort out getting everything I needed. While I’d done all I could I wasn’t entirely sure if I could get both types of sausage I wanted. I was pretty sure there would be one flavour or other of chorizo sausage, but as for the other ones I was looking at the very real posibility of having to go back at another time. Anyway they had the picante chorizo sausages, and you can’t ask for better than that, and Merguez spicy sausages, not quite what I was after, but good enough for caserole, besides, if I hadn’t have got the sausages there would be no hope of caserole. The Pasta’n’sauce I’d sorted out a while ago. Now all that’s left is to go make the caserole to an acceptable standard.

P.S. Yes, I am also going for the most cryptic post of the day award :D

*This is both a metaphor for something else and an acurate description of my sausage shopping today, thus it is a metaphive :D

Poor bastard

The church at the top of North Hill has masses of military types in full dress uniform, many people in black and a full set of camera crews. I can only surmise that it’s one of our lads being burried. Since moving to Colchester I’ve gotten to know a few guys in the army and there is always a slight worry when they announce another death in the middle east that it’ll be someone I know. My heart goes out to this guys family and friends.

Retail Therapy

It’s amazing what blowing a couple of ton on crap can do for your mood.

You can take the boy out of London…

Sometimes I hate the fact that I default to London Commuter mode on the train. Still, it does mean I got a seat were mere mortals have to stand :-)

Morons

It would seem my premise that 99% of the worlds population should be shot us slightly wrong. Shooting is too good for some people.

…why is doing the wrong thing so damn easy?

Seperation

I think this sums up today perfectly.

Have we still got time?
There was a time I thought
Time when I’d think I thought you knew me
And I knew you
And I’d talk to you and you’d speak to me
And I’d speak to you and you’d talk to me
But there’s no time
It’s a past crossed out, crossed out
Erased with a red line
We never speak at all

It’s over
I want to live
It’s over
I want to live

Something’s gone
It’s the light in your eyes, there’s no light in your eyes
Now you don’t love me
And I don’t love you
But I’m not telling you
Cos you mime and you lie, and you lie when you mime
Now you don’t talk to me
And I don’t talk to you
We’ll never speak again

It’s over
I want to live
It’s over
I want you live
You understand
You understand it must be broken
Destroyed
There’s no chance ’til it’s torn apart from the inside
But I’ll be rid of you
Now I know
Now I know I need it too
Give it to me
Give it to me
Give it to me
Give it to me
We’ll never speak again
