The outpourings of a deranged mind

It’s a phone, dammit!

The iPhone has a little menu bar at the bottom of the Home Page that gives you access to 4 applications regardless of what page you’re on. I can’t remember what the default is but I always have (in order) Phone, SMS, Email, Web. Top right on page one of the Home Page is the iPod app. Now you can download and add new apps I’ve got quite a few pages on my Home Page and I find myself scrolling about a lot. I think I may need to face facts and swap the phone and iPod functions over. Given I never use all my free minutes, send so many text messages (and send essays that span more than one text more often than not) that I’ve had to upgrade to unlimited texts, get upwards of 50 emails per day, do an awful lot of surfing and listen to the iPod for up to 10 hours a day sometimes I think we need to come to terms with the fact that the whole phone thing is secondary to everything else. Voice comms. It’ll never catch on :)
