8 hours of paperwork makes brain melt 
Anyway, it’s done now and I can start playing about with figures and what have you to work out what kind of a budget I need to live on over the next however many months I doss about for. Some terrifying things have dropped out of the numbers already. I keep every receipt I get and enter into my accounting software and yet I’ve still got just under £8,000 worth of cash that I can’t account for, most of it spent in pubs and clubs. This year alone I’ve spent £2114.90 on rail travel and since July 2006 when my records started I’ve spent £8,000. Over 2 years I’ve also lobbed over £10,000 at John Lewis, although to be fair I did set up a new house and got most of the stuff from them, wasted £163 on the lottery (spent £261, won £98) and given out nearly £2,500 worth of gifts. This budgeting thing isn’t going to be easy is it?
