The outpourings of a deranged mind

Overy mashed

So the postman finally turned up at about 11:30 which meant I could go shower and shop. In retrospect I should have shopped then showered as I would have missed the [thankfully light] rain and I was rather warm when I got back. Anyway, I decided to do a sausage casserole for lunch as I haven’t had one for ages and proceeded to make waaaay too much mash :D Not sure I’ll be having any dinner tonight.

I also applied for a job today. Should find out pretty soon if they want to interview me as it’s at my old place and they’re fast tracking my application. Was in two minds over applying as it’s a job I can do and looks interesting, but would mean no big payout :)

I no understand. Your job is made redundant i.e. there is no longer any job and you are laid off and given your redundancy pay.

You apply for different job. You start again at the company and they say that you start your employment on this new date OR if you are going back in this different job and they pay you no redundancy there is surely no break of service then you should retain the years that you have already done. Ergo if they make you redundant again you still have the full length of service.

Hey! What do I know. I’m just a beach bum. Did you know Jim Davison used to own Great Yarmouth pier? He could’nt affort the upkeep and it was demolished in 2005. Sad.

You’re right about there being no break in service if I get the job but then I have to wait for the next time I’m made redundant to get the payout and that may not be at the beginning of summer :-)

And you’re also getting close to the maximum jackpot payout - I suggest it’s a risky strategy, on the basis that I was in the game for a bit longer and the nice people never gave me the option of the jackpot. Not that I’m bitter, oh no. Now I’m back to building up the pot….
