The outpourings of a deranged mind

SoTW [Song of The Week]

So this is something speardave and bathgirl used to do via email, was then moved over here and, due to technical difficulties is being moved with yours truly. Expect bands you’ve never heard of (and links to Wikipedia, iTunes Music Store [ITMS] and YouTube to help edumacate you) :D

Right, today’s little offering is from Front Line Assembly [Wikipedia] who have been a favourite of mine for a while. I’ve owned the album Millennium for a while now but have never really tried any of their other stuff as I knew that it was a departure from what FLA normally do, however, I decided to give Tactical Neural Implant [ITMS] a go as it’s supposed to be their seminal work. Compared to Millennium, Tactical Neural Implant is just a bit weak for my tastes. It’s not bad, per say, however, it just never gets going. That said it does have Remorse [ITMS] which is an absolutely blinding, if rather depressing, track.

We once had a passion
It all seemed so right
So young and so eager
No end in sight
But now we are prisoners
In our own hearts
Nothing seems real
It’s all torn apart
