The outpourings of a deranged mind

Facebook

There is a version of Facebook for the shiny so I’ve decided to come back, although as Dom Davis this time. Please note that I will be ignoring all invites to start using the plethora of applications that seem to be out there. This is purely so I can keep in contact with people who, for whatever reason, can’t do regular email that easily. I’m easy to find, I’m the only Dom Davis on the site by the looks of things (woo - go me :D ).

I would disagree - there are at least two others that I can see…..

Also, the iPhone interface to FB isn’t that good.

I deleted my account as soon as it was possible. Your original account is probably still kicking around somewhere unless you explicitly told FB to delete it.

Ah - it doesn’t return search results in any sensible order and I didn’t bother looking past the first page. OK, I’m the Dom Davis with the picture of the duck :)

Goron - I had my old account deleted and this one has no personal information that I don’t want to give out registered with it. Interestingly enough, while it will let you select 01/01/1910 as a birthday at registration it doesn’t believe allow you to enter it, which is a bit of a bugger if you’re actually 98 and born on new years.

The iPhone interface is pretty basic, but it does what I need it to do.

*waves madly* Will you be my friend?

  5. Dom April 1st, 2008 10:38 am

Yes I will. Can’t seem to find you though.

I’ve asked you via someone else!

Ah - didn’t realise a friend request had been proffered already. I tried looking for you last night but the search turned up zilch. I have accepted the friend request.

I thought you thought FB was the trojan infrastructure of a future police state?

You realise it will soon be illegal to lie to them about your age, and you will be forced to fill in more detail.

One innovatino they seem to have declined to add is the facility when someone you dont like sends you a friend invite to class them as an enemy. It would be great to see how many friends and enemies everyone has…

I do think that FB is the trojan infrastructure of a future police state. Doesn’t bother me at all. I’m all for the police state and the shootings it will bring.

No, I left facebook for other reasons and have rejoined in a more controlled fashion.
