The outpourings of a deranged mind

Getting old

I’ve never used my bath in my new place. Baths are just something I don’t do, I prefer showers, but I’m so stiff from bouncing around on Sunday night that I might soak in some hot water later today and see if that helps my back and knees. I’m not as young as I used to be :(

Baths are great, though impractical for the majority of the time they seem to sooth hang overs better than the shower. I suppose you don’t get so many of those now though

I concur, baths are brilliant. Nothing quite like soaking in a hot bath, with bubbles, and enjoying a glass of Rioja. Especially after a hard day of fencing.

I suspect your equivalent Dom would be with a glass of melted choclate after a hard night of dancing, but the principle is there.

Can’t do bubbles, the backs of me knees go all red and itchy. If I do any soaking in hot water it’ll be in plain water with the actual washing bit done in the shower :)

As it was I never actually managed to get a bath in the end. Maybe tomorrow night.

Oh you were dancing!!! I sort of wondered! ;)

Having a bath in an ordinary bath is not a sign of age in itself. You should only worry when you have a little door in the side of the bath because you can’t get your leg over any more.

It’s not so much the bathing that I am worried about, it’s more that a mere 4 or so hours (with breaks) or bouncing around like a lunatic has rendered me stiff and finding it hard to climb stairs, get out of the chair, etc., for 3 days now. Tai Chi tonight could be fun…

I shall grin and feel vindicated :)

Dom - I cant do baths with bubbles either - but if you disolve a tablespoon full of salt in the water you’ll find it eases the muscle aches a little better than just soaking in ‘neat’ bathwater. (There’s probably lots of good reasons why this works as well as it does I just dont know what they are!).

or I could just keep chugging nurofen until it goes away :D

I don’t like baths either. I don’t like the wrinkly skin afterwards, and I just get bored!

Yes, I found it quite boring, even though I did have my iPod nano (clipped to my hair of all places :D ) to listen to.
