The outpourings of a deranged mind

Shiny 1.3

So I’ve been living with the new iPhone update for a while now and, sad to say, there are still issues when listening to music and surfing the web. Seems to be if you’re trying to load a complex page as a track changes Safari just crashes. Annoying, but less frequent than the iPod crashes while surfing in 1.2.

Since installing WPhone on my blogs it’s made the iPhone a good blogging platform but it really does highlight the lack of cut and paste (especially for adding links, having to write down URLs so I can renember them is a little silly).

The lack of a todo app is still annoying but hopefully we’ll be getting 3rd party apps on it soon without having to jail break it.

Would be cool if the iPod had a visualiser type thing, but I’m not sure if the processor will handle that. Also fun would be allowing mail to have a dynamic signature with the current track being played in it :-)

Hmm… tell you what would also be usefull: WPhone using text entry boxes that I could scroll in. I’m a bit buggered if I want to edit the beginning of thus post now :-)

So this is really a wait for v2.1 thing then is it?

Well if you haven’t already jumped on the bandwagon (and lets face it Steve did tell us to buy this over a year ago so what have you been doing?) I’d say wait until the 3G version, or not bother at all. You’re obviously not cool enough :)

Oh so you also listen to what Steve says do you, which I guess means you have a pile of NeXT boxes at home slowly decomposing. I like my phone to be a phone. Though obviously I have a blackberry.

I tried to get some NeXT boxen from work, but only managed to get a Sparc 10.

I had an option of an Ultra10 for home once. Turned it down as I thought it too geeky.
