The outpourings of a deranged mind

Royal Mail

Dear Royal Mail,

As I understand it [part of] your job in life is to take letters, parcels, telegrams and communiques addressed to me from a third party and ensure they arrive safely at my address. Why isĀ  it then that I find in the past 2 months 4 Amazon deliveries, 2 Amazon redeliveries and 2 Love Film DVD’s have not made it to their intended destination. You have been paid by the sender to perform this function and I, in turn, have had to pay these people for delivery (either directly or through my monthly payments), thus I feel I should receive some form of compensation. I fear this is a futile wish and that there is no way to claim this. Not only that but I must suffer delays while my goods are redelivered to me. To top it all aspersions are cast on my good name as I am having to repeatedly claim that I did not receive goods which could leave people suspecting I am perhaps telling an untruth to cover the fact that I am taking said items for myself. Please sort your act out.

Lots of love,

Dom

Today I had to walk a 1 mile round trip to collect a parcel. Bit miffed about it because I live next to a couple of octagenarians who seldom leave the house. It could easily have been left with them - they are always aware of my comings and goings so would have known exactly when to catch me between putting the car in the garage and walking the 4 steps to the front door.

I have a 2 mile round trip to pick up the two parcels they keep failing to deliver to me (although to be fair the last failed delivery was due to my doorbell not working at the moment… must get that fixed… )
