Missing Socks

Interesting fact. Since I’ve been living alone and doing all my own washing I haven’t lost a single sock. I put in socks as pairs, socks come out and get paired. No socks go missing, no pairs get mixed up. Funny that :)

Yes, whenever I do my own washing, nothing gets lost, or bleeds colour, or shrinks, or enjoys time with an expensive piece of consumer electronics…

It won’t last .. one day you will be surprised .. the socks will fight back!

I was under the impression that you had CONSIDERABLE amounts of training in pairing socks in your formative years.

I am well versed in the arts of sock pairing and sock folding. Indeed my method of folding socks has caused comment from many people as I don’t do the ‘get a pair of socks, bundle them up into a ball, throw them in a drawer’ method, instead opting for the ‘folded, ready to be placed on foot’ method (If I can be bothered I will document the difference detailing the benifits and whathaveyou). Anyway, regardless of how strong my sockfu is one cannot fold/pair what one doesn’t have. Give me 3 socks and I can only fold one pair. If I count the socks in and count them out (well, I don’t actually go so far as to count them, I just make sure pairs go in and come out) I can be fairly sure that all the pairs are there (unless I’m loosing socks in multiples of two).
