The outpourings of a deranged mind

Cool or not?

So, apparently, by dressing myself (doing up all the buttons on my shirt, doing up the cuffs, tucking my shirt in) I’m making myself look ’square’ and should we walking around with my shirt in a state of half undress. I put it to you to decide (and ignore the fact I’m wearing shades in one image and not the other, I usually wear them regardless, but my brother, who was the instigator of this advice, wanted to skew public opinion to his way of thinking). So, which one will attract the laydeez? Smart or scruffy? (For the followers of Shirtwatch it is a new shirt but its identical to an already featured one, I just liked it so bought another one).

well, i wouldn’t say they are smart and scruffy, more scruffy and scruffy without shirt tucked in.

i think we need to see you in a suit and tie to get a real smart look.

    :-)

If I was wearing a suit I’d e wearing a different shirt altogether so the scruffy and smart are relative :P . Since I generally don’t wear suits unless I have a reason too its unlikely I’ll be putting a photo of me wearing one up any time soon :D

It looks like a linen shirt???? If so, better out .. cotton in!

Oooh - contramaversial :) It is a linen shirt, but the majority of shirts I have are cotten. Still, simple rule and I supose I can apply it. I still maintain the number of people the shirt will attract (regardless of how I wear it) will be 0.

I would say, personally, that the cut of the shirt bottom dictates how it should be worn. A shirt with tails is designed to be tucked in whilst a straight hemmed shirt should be worn out. Cuffs undone should only be worn if hosting Changing Rooms and shades worn to keep out the sun.

Oop North we only have to bother abaht us flat caps.

You saying I look like a certain interior designer?

IIRC the last time I found my self with the attention of a realtively unknown lady it was shirt in and suite jacket on. Though there was rather a lot of alcohol involved so it might have been entirely irelevant. I’d say if you’re going to wear a shirt, tuck it in ffs. If you’re not going to bother wear a t-shirt or something.

But then I’m actualy nearly 60 so what would I know?
