The outpourings of a deranged mind

Flight Path

My flat must be on a flight path as I’ve been overflown by all kinds of fun things in the past few weeks. Last weekend we have the Falklands 25th anniversary flights which had all kinds of jet and prop powered goodness (including the Red Arrows) streaking overhead. Today I’ve had a spitfire doing aerobatics overhead. Unfortunately I own a flash SLR camera that takes a few minutes to assemble so I was only able to grab the arse end of the spitty as it flew off.

(Crap photo as it was snatched using the settings I’d left the camera on and then have cropped heavily.)

Great - now every time a diesel powered train passes I’m running to my window, camera in hand, because I think the planes come back :(

    Still a cool pic.

We sometimes get things like this around our gaff as whenever something flies up the Mall to Buck Pal, it tends to fly over us… so we often get the Battle Of Britain Memorial flight (spitfire/hurricane/lancaster) and most impressively, the last flight of the 3 concordes, one in formation with the red arrows.

Its a crap picture. I’ve got loads of pictures of the arse end of spitfires which don’t need such horrendous cropping, do have prop blur and are in focus, they’re just taken at airshows rather than from my balcony. Bear in mind thats also 100% size and you’ll see what I mean about the cropping.
