Operation Sock
Spent 5 minutes this evening trying to pair my socks. They’re all black, it shouldn’t be that hard but for some reason none of the pairs match.I am very tempted to instigate Operation Sock. This would involve me going to M&S, buying 20 new pairs of identical socks then [and this is the crucial bit] removing all the old socks from my sock drawer, laundry basket, drawer at my girlfriends house and her laundry basket and throwing them all in the bin. Pairing wont matter then.
I recommend going to M&S and buying 20 pairs of _day_ socks… you know the ones that are identical except for a small coloured graphic… a different colour for each day.
It helps with pairing, and if you do get them mixed up, the odd pairs doesn’t matter so much.
I did consider getting socks with a graphic on them but have not really seen an option to buy them in bulk and have 20 different designs (20 pairs of simpsons socks may get a tad expensive)
Perhaps you could start your own SockWatch?
I could. People have commented that I have an odd shaped heel (product of a mixed ancestry way back when) which may add interest but I suspect after sockwatch #2 it would become quickly apparent that all my socks are identical and it may start to get boring.
There is also the fact that I would have to get out my uber camera, assemble it, set up the studio lights, sort out the background, do the shoot, sort the photos edit them and then post them. I can’t seem to do snapshots and more

I then got my old clothes back from the long term girlfriend. Now I’m single I also got the second set back leaving me with 3 sets.
