Bugger

If I might steal a couple of lines from Blackadder, I think it rather sums up how I feel at the moment.

Edmund: How are you feeling, Darling?

Darling: Erm, not all that good, Blackadder — rather hoped I’d get through the whole show; go back to work at Pratt & Sons; keep wicket for the Croydon gentlemen; marry Doris… Made a note in my diary on my way here. Simply says, “Bugger.”

Turning out to be a bit of a shit week really :(

Need an early night

It’s not that I’ve been burning the candle at both ends this week, its more that I’ve doused the candle in petrol and thrown a match on it. Going out tomorrow night for a leaving do and if I don’t get to bed at some sensible hour tonight I can see Friday being spent curled up under my desk sleeping. As it is that doesn’t sound like a bad idea right now :D

Gah!

Gah! Why is it my unmonitored access to the internetweb chooses days when I am bored out of my tiny and lacking any kind of arsedness for work to die on me? I’ve had to spent the day surfing the net on my work machine being very careful with the sites I viewed and the responses I posted (they log everything). Its simply Not On. Hopefully tomorrow it will all be working again and I can have a day of unfettered procrastination.

Ug

Oh god it’s Monday [relatively speaking, I know its Tuesday but its the start of my working week so its effectively my Monday], and not only that it’s very early. My alarm failed to rouse me properly this morning, instead choosing to scare me at 4 minutes past 5 when the news reader informed us she would be back at 5:30. I panicked, thought it was already 5:30 and then promptly feel asleep again only to be woken by my backstop alarm (placed on the other side of the room so I am forced to get out of bed to turn it off). All I can say is thank God I have an ubershower. without it I would have crawled back in to bed and hoped the morning would just go away.

Slobbing

Been doing far too much sensible stuff over the past few days (tidying/paperwork/entertaining) so today I’m going to make an extra special effort to slob about :D In the mean time I shall leave you with this: HA! You’re at work :D

Did I miss something?

There must be something going on as over the site the spitty was doing its aerobatics earlier there is now this:

Brief trawl of the interweb hasn’t given me any clues though.

Oh Bugger

In blatting my old blog at this URL I also deleted my public folder. Not a huge amount of stuff in there but no doubt I’ll find some dead links and broken forum pictures in odd places :)

Flight Path

My flat must be on a flight path as I’ve been overflown by all kinds of fun things in the past few weeks. Last weekend we have the Falklands 25th anniversary flights which had all kinds of jet and prop powered goodness (including the Red Arrows) streaking overhead. Today I’ve had a spitfire doing aerobatics overhead. Unfortunately I own a flash SLR camera that takes a few minutes to assemble so I was only able to grab the arse end of the spitty as it flew off.

(Crap photo as it was snatched using the settings I’d left the camera on and then have cropped heavily.)

Death to the cable monster!

The cable monster has been vanquished!

Actually, its been hidden in the wooden cupboard to the right, but then you try organising that lot (there are 17 power cables alone!). The public face of things is quite neat but when you look behind the cupboard the truth begins to unfold (I’m guessing there is about 200m worth of cable in that setup). Only when you look inside the cupboard is the full horror revealed. The sofa, when it arrives, will go in front of the TV :)

No sofa

Turns out John Lewis didn’t manage to get my sofa delivery combined with my mattress delivery which is a bit of an arse. Still, have a nice new mattress (it’s seriously thick, my bed is so high now I’m in danger of getting altitude sickness) so at least when I go sulk in my room I’ll be comfy :)
